Delaunay triangulation?
« on: January 15, 2009, 11:22:49 PM »

Hi people!

I thought it would be good if FragMOTION allow us to compute the Delaunay triangulation from a set of points in 3D space...
However, my skills in LUA are very limited, and my learning curve would be quite tedious...
The idea behind is that each triangle edge has a circumsphere that intersects only the 2 points of this edge...

More details can be found on the web...

If there is a need to talk about the reasons why we would need it, I believe that, as FragMOTION is a low poly modelling tool (is it really? Please correct if I'm wrong), we might start modelling by the basic parts of the model. The triangulation would, thus, accelerate the process of, for example, generating the complex 2D model by using a background image as a reference...

Well..... I think that's my suggestion for a while... Hope to hear from you!

Thanks!!
