New to forums, merging question....
« on: May 18, 2010, 09:54:06 AM »

Hello all. I have a model that I have purchased from an online shop. The model was supposed to have a fully animated .B3D model. What I got was a model in which each animation set as it's own file. Let me show you an example:

walk.b3d
run.b3d
attack.b3d

ect.

I need to be able to merge these files into one animated mesh. The game engine I use is designed as such that i can have only one animated model and one texture, per "actor" in game. Now these are all of the same creature, an Ogre. So what I need is just one Ogre mesh with all the animations applied to it. I tried merging animations, but I think i did it wrong. I end up with something like this:

Animations:
    Animation
    Animation 1
    Animation 2
    Animation 3

Each with frames set up from 1 - X. What I need to do is merge each of these files so i get one single animation set. I hope I have written this in a manner that makes sense. Thank you in advance for any help!

Looks like you did it exactly right.  When you export to .b3d all of the animations willl be contained in one file.
