Topic: how to weld two edges (Read 1499 times)

I have one of those situations where two edges come together where on edge has a vertex in the middle but the other does not.
I want to weld these two edges. How can I create a new vertex on the edge that does not have one so I can weld it? Is it then just a matter of selecting the two vertexes to be merged and saying weld?
thanks

Select the 2 vertices on the edge, click vertex\split edge, select the new vertex and the other middle vertex, click vertex\edit... and just click ok (this is the same as snap together but you can set the value of the snap point which defaults to the first selected vertex, and this will always be the other middle vertex), then click vertex\weld selection.
