How do I unassign a bone from a vertice?
« on: March 16, 2011, 08:01:04 PM »

A very quick question:  how do I unassign a single bone from a vertice?

Open the vertex assignment dialog (menu/bone/assign selected vertices to bone).  Click 'advanced' to show the extra features.  Check 'vertex is assigned to'.  Select the vertices you want to remove the bone influence from.   Select the bone you want removed from the list.  In the drop down next to the Bone label, select '<none>' then click the small 'set' button next to it.

I couldn't get it to work.  Here's a screenie:

Now what I noticed is that even if I delete the bone, the mesh still stretches....

You'll see that kind of stretching during animation playback if some of the vertices are unassigned.

I think I'm figuring this out.

Working on merging two anims now.

I read there was a manual for Fragmotion on the threads, but can't seem to find it...
