They dont seem to care much!
« on: April 15, 2012, 12:10:56 PM »

Anybody ever noticed that everyone from Fragmosoft almost never (0.5%) ever reply to our requests
They have to listen to the people.
Example: Me
a while back i sugested the implementation of a Camera tool in fragmotion
Not that difficult i mean, you make it an object add it to the view port option
and make it rotatable and attachable to any group and/or bone and TADA
i cant beleive they managed to create a 3d modelling software and still fail to create the most basic element of one...
Very dissapointed

"They" is actually one person (Fragmo =Dave) and I've always found him to be pretty responsive considering that.

How would what you are asking be any different from setting the camera rotation to the center of the selection or a user point. Or are you asking for it to be a dynamic rotation in one window as you moved the view within another? I'm not sure how that would work.

How are you planning on using these cameras if I add support for them?  Will they be saved out to a file for use in a game or another app?

Sorry for beign so rude Dave, i just had a rly bad day n shit :/
Well my idea was as a general tool
you know, for first person shooting animations ect also for character animation, wouldnt have to rotate the whole stage just to make it look like the character is looking around Tongue
i was thinking on something to make it work Smiley

you could spawn the camera like any other object( cube torus ect )
and you could rotate it locally and also from the axes
you would be able to attach it to a bone or an object at its center of mass or where you click then would be able to move it around while still beign binded to the object (much like a bone for the camera exept it would be a group OR a bone)

I dont know if you have time well its alright its just a request, i understand that you may or may not have much time to think about neither make the thing.
And i am sorry if i sounded rude, i have to give you more respect.

I've added something close to what you requested.  The camera is a sub-classed bone which can be animated/transformed just like a bone.  You will be able to select which camera is active from the Tools/Camera tool.  It'll show up in the next release.  Currently the only exported format that supports camera objects is fbx though, which is hit and miss in terms of exporting animation.  Do you need the cameras to export or are you just planning on using them in fragmotion itself?
