Topic: B3d animation to fbx or ms3d? (Read 821 times)

Has anyone had any luck converting b3d animations to fbx or ms3d format?
I tried to convert some of the sample files from Pacemaker from b3d to both these formats with little success. In each instance the skeleton comes in bent in half and the core of the animation does not seem to be able to be salvaged by attempting any adjustments or clean-up.
Also, it appears the Pacemaker developer lost or abandon his domain name as there is totally unrelated content there now. I was fortunate to have salvaged the exe from my old laptop hard drive.

Thanks Sepp,
I may have missed a feature in Pacemaker. I didn't see an option to save to ugh format and if you can enlighten me as to what the ugh cleaner is and where I can find it I'd really appreciate it.

i'm sorry nathan. i must not have been clear..
what you need to do is import the b3d from pacemaker into fragmotion. once the model is in fragmotion click the "SAVE AS" and save it as the default .ugh. then re-load that model you just saved as an ugh file NEXT go to "TOOLS" in the top bar. click on that . you will see "CLEAN UGH FILE" press that. then export it to either MS3d or FBX.
i'm not sure if doing this will fix it, but give it a try and let me know.

Hey Sepp,
No apologies are necessary. I appreciate the fact you are helping me. I hadn't noticed the "Clean ugh file" tool before I will give it a try.

If that doesn't work, the app "Ultimate Unwrap 3D" does a great job converting animated mesh between FBX, .X BSD, UGH and B3D! U3D Has been a lifesaver for me.
